Children’s Happy Faces Foundation celebrated ten years of real estate industry support at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Hudson National Golf Club and Saint Andrews Golf Club benefiting Ronald McDonald House New York and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Hudson Valley.
Children’s Happy Faces Foundation in its 10th year has accumulated over $4 million in direct support of Ronald McDonald House New York [RMHNY] and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Hudson Valley.
On September 27th enthusiastic supporters took the greens at three separate venues, Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Hudson National Golf Club and Saint Andrews Golf Club. For the evening festivities all gathered with additional tennis and dinner guests at the Mansion of Sleepy Hollow Country Club to a beautiful sunset backdrop of the Hudson River.
“This being our 10th year we had the pleasure of shining the spotlight on two very special philanthropic families, the Barry Family and May Family” said David J. Lipson, CEO & Founding Member of Children’s Happy Faces Foundation who is also Senior Managing Director at Century Management Services Inc.
Rick Martin COO and Director of Development at RMHNY also presented Mr. Lipson with a Proclamation in recognition of the success of this event declaring Tuesday, September 27th as founding chairman David J. Lipson Day at Ronald McDonald House New York.
In her 7th day on the job, newly installed CEO and President of RMHNY, Ruth Browne welcomed all guests and introduced the Brewer family, presently residing at the “House”. The family’s heartfelt story shared how the staff and volunteers of the House have welcomed them with open arms and helped ease the inherent difficulties with being far from home with a child being treated for a rare pediatric cancer. The Brewers stated that they have been travelling to NYC for treatment for their son’s cancer treatment and staying at RMHNY for the past 10 years.
Both honoree families were greeted by tremendous applause in appreciation for their ten years of extraordinary support. Mitchell Barry proudly represented his family and Century Management our title sponsor for the event. Andrew May represented his family & Hercules Corporation, our Platinum Sponsor.
